Went An Extra Lap Around The Northeast Side & Talked to a Few People

Today instead of finishing up on Tennyson & coming back home, I went an extra lap around the Northeast Side (Tennyson to Sherman to Northport to Packers) and stopped by Willy Street Co-Op North Side. I told the young woman making the sushi that she does a very good job & that Jesus loves her a lot! Then, outside, I talked to an elderly man who also enjoys her sushi and made his acquaintance (sort of - I didn't get his name, oops). Talked to a lady on the way home who was out on her work break for a walk outside. Working on developing relationships with new people starting with acquaintanceship and then moving into sharing the Good News, then into friendship, and then moving into discipleship. It's all part of my vision for my ministry. My "rule of thumb" for evangelism is if I spend more than 5 minutes with a person - that's an opportunity to share the Gospel. I got that from Bill Bright. Also - I discovered that my spiritual "instincts" (like breaking into a "hallelujah" when expressing a thought that's in line with the Spirit) are from my spirit and that my mind has been calling the shots for quite some time, so I'm pushing myself to be spirit-led in everything I do.
